Holiday Inn Express: A Quick Review Especially for You

Holiday Inn Express, Manila, Newport City — I have never thought about staying at Holiday Inn Express Philippines, that’s because what we’re looking for is usually the ones great for families. But, we did anyway. So here goes my honest review about our stay at Holiday Inn Express Manila.

If you’re here for the first time, I’d like to invite you to follow me on my socials –Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok so you’re updated on our recent food, hotel, and travel reviews!

Hotels near NAIA Terminal 3 (walking distance)

When you’re traveling to the Philippines because you have a layover here, you can stay at nearby hotels for a restful night. And you know what, there are lots to choose from based on your needs.

Holiday Inn Express window view — can you see the airplanes nearby?

Go to Newport, you’ll find Hilton (watch out for my next review!), Hotel Okura, Belmont Hotel, Savoy Hotel, Sheraton Manila, and so much more!

But if you want a standard room with the most basic facilities, you should consider Holiday Inn Express. I like that they have some special service not available in other hotels. Want to know what that is? Continue reading then!

Holiday Inn Express Manila amenities

For me, Holiday Inn Express rates are affordable when looking for a room to spend the night (especially if you don’t have any plans on staying inside the hotel for long). They even offer free airport transfers, so you don’t have to worry about booking a cab or grab car to your next flight!

Standard room with complete amenities

We booked the standard room with 2 twin beds, which is perfect for us.

While the room might be a bit smaller than most hotels surrounding Holiday Inn Express, we found it a nice hotel to spend a night or two. Especially when you just want to sleep for a layover while waiting for your next flight!

The beds are comfy to sleep on, and the comforter gave the warmth that you need.

Basic breakfast buffet

One of the things I always look forward to when staying at hotels is their breakfast buffet. And here at Holiday Inn Express, don’t expect a very luxurious breakfast, especially since you’ve actually saved a lot when you book here.

But don’t be discouraged!

This Newport hotel offers the basic breakfast you can get. They have dinner rolls and croissants, famous Filipino breakfast viands like corned beef, pork tocino, eggs of many sorts, and even arroz caldo.

For drinks, they offer coffee and juices as well. Not a bad start to break that fast! And you can get rounds 2, or 3, or even 4!

Laundry and ironing

Got loads of used clothes that need washing?

Holiday Inn Express has got you covered! And the best part? They also have iron and ironing boards (even!) so that help you look prim and proper if you have a meeting the next day!

Fitness center

Of course, another essential thing when traveling is burning some of the calories you’ve eaten!

And the easiest way is to get up, and head to fitness center and either run, lift some weights, or relax with yoga!

Free airport shuttle service

Isn’t it nice that you can get a free airport shuttle service (especially if you don’t know the area so much)?

Book at Holiday Inn Express, and you don’t have to worry about how to get to airport. Because you can just schedule a ride, and be there before they leave, it’s that simple!

However, in case you missed the free shuttle, don’t fret nor cry! Holiday Inn Express to Terminal 3 NAIA is just a 15 minute walk, so you can just do some brisk walking for an even healthier substitute!

Other hotels you should check out

We also stayed at other hotels near airport, and I’m sure you want to know more about them too! Well, the reviews are right under!

Sheraton Manila Hotel

I love love love Sheraton Manila Hotel.

From their rooms, to breakfast buffet, to pools, and kiddie playroom! If you’re a parent like me, you’ll surely understand why these are the things I fancy! And if you’re still unconvinced about booking Sheraton Hotel, then you should check here.

Hotel Okura Manila

Isn’t Hotel Okura Manila lovely?

Hotel Okura Manila is just as competitive as Sheraton Manila.

But what’s so different with Hotel Okura that Sheraton Manila Hotel isn’t? Is the Japanese theme that Hotel Okura has. Except that the rooms are exceptionally LARGE (I mean it!), they have that Japanese vibe everywhere you go!
