15 Alluring Reasons Why You Should Book Amorita Resort

Amorita Resort, Panglao – Visiting Panglao in Bohol is one of our firsts, so it was a really special experience when we stayed at Amorita Beach Resort. We also booked a one-day tour to see some Bohol tourist spots (make sure to stay on the loop because I’ll be covering that part in my next blog post!).

If you’re here for the first time, I’d like to invite you to follow me on my socials –Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok so you’re updated on our recent food, hotel, and travel reviews!

Amorita Resort Panglao amenities and extras

After staying for a few days at Amorita Hotel, I’ve finally understood why the Amorita Resort rates are pricey. And while you have to fly to get there, I realize that there are so many great things about why Amorita Resort prices are worth your money.

Airport pickup

One of the things to consider when booking a hotel after leaving the airport is a free shuttle bus. And you can see and feel the care of Amorita Resort owner because they offer airport pickup, so you don’t have to book a Grab or taxi to get to the Panglao resort.

But there’s one thing you have to take note of.

People dancing outside the Bohol – Panglao International Airport.

Is that the person picking you up doesn’t have that Amorita Resort logo on their shirt or welcome banner. We didn’t know that the person taking us was the person we saw because the name they wrote on the banner was only first name, so it took us quite a while to get to the resort.

Important reminder: To ask the staff about the person who’s going to pick you up.

P.S. The staff who picked us up was wearing Southwest Travel Tours shirt, so you might take note of this as well.

Welcome drink and refreshing towel

After traveling for about 10 minutes, we finally arrived at Amorita Resort. It was only 11 AM during that time, and since we didn’t have rooms yet, I was glad that Amorita Resort staff offered a welcome drink, dalandan juice. It was truly refreshing as it was super hot.

Thankfully, they also gave us a wet towel with peppermint essense – to truly cool you off. It lessens the irritation of having to wait for your rooms, so we were eager to check the other parts of Amorita Bohol soon after.

Spacious Junior Suite room with garden view

We booked the junior suite, and it was very spacious!

We had a garden view, and we were on the 1st floor, so it was very easy to go around the place. The 40 sq meter room makes it very easy for you to move around.

I like that the toilet and shower area are separated, so that one can use the other while someone else uses the other part of the toilet. And while they might not be the biggest, they have just enough room for me and my son to go in together.

We also got welcome chocolate chip cookies, and they replenish it everyday, so you can have something sweet to eat when you suddenly get hungry. The snacks vary depending on availability — sometimes its choco chip cookies, sometimes, its butterscotch.

Swimming pool

There are 2 swimming pools to choose from at Amorita Resort. The first one is located near the reception, where you can view Alona Beach. There’s a regular pool, and kiddie pool in the side.

Another swimming pool is found outside of Saffron, where breakfast is served. The pool is separated into 2 as well, with one about 3 feet, and another 4 feet.

Gym

The Amorita Bohol gym was empty when I checked on it. And it has a wide range of workout equipment for you to use. Apart from the usual gym equipment, there’s also a pilates ball and even yoga mat for stretching.

Beach

You can go to Alona Beach easily from Amorita. Just walk past The Lost Cow, go down, and you’ll be on the beach in no time. And in there, you can take a glimpse of Henann Resort Panglao because they are just beside one another.

Secret Cove

But Amorita has a secret beach – a small beach they call Secret Cove, and where you can relax and unwind. The place was secluded from other people and is quite small, but you’ll surely fall asleep if you lie down there.

Hammock

Who wants to rest in the hammock? It was truly a relaxing space for if you want to just lie down and look at the sky.

Cabana

This cabana is a space where you can have your spa and massage — but it’s limited only to some massage techniques. But I don’t know if you could also stay there just to enjoy the relaxing sea view.

Sea Tree Spa

Inside Amorita’s spa and massage place, you’re gonna enjoy a relaxing time because the place smells so lovely! Apart from that, the massage therapists are truly exceptional, so you can try it if you want to get the stress off your body.

Table tennis

On the other side of Saffron Restaurant, there’s a table tennis – and we enjoyed playing with it. It was my first time playing table tennis and I now know that it’s a sport I’d enjoy playing with again in the future.

You can borrow their paddle and ball on the side, so you don’t have to bring them.

Free juices

Free juice for your stay!

Inside the ref you’ll find juices and don’t be shy, you can drink them all up because they’re all FREE!! The staff replenishes them everyday, so you can drink them with gusto!

Amorita restaurant

I’m sure you’d want to try other restaurants outside of Amorita, but just in case you want to lounge and rest more, you can dine inside as well. We especially loved the food at Saffron (other than its breakfast buffet).

The Lost Cow

If you’re craving meat or steak, then you can check out The Lost Cow and have a feast there. We tried the burger and it was a bit pricey, but it was good – however, I felt that it was at par with what we ordered at Saffron (no bias!).

Saffron

Everyday, you’re gonna visit Saffron Restaurant because that’s where your breakfast is. And while the list of food isn’t that many, I found that the food is quite good. Their dishes vary everyday, which saddened me, because I only ate their chocolate champorado only once. Huhu!

Nonetheless, we also dined there for dinner, and we loved their food.

We ate these twice — isn’t it convincing how good their food is?

The alfredo was good, as well as the burger. But what stands out is their kare kare – beef and veggies with peanut sauce, but don’t forget to add their shrimp paste for more flavor! I even overheard people of other nationality loving the same dish as well.

Free bicycle

Amorita is quite huge, and you can actually borrow their bicycle for a quick workout. Just register at the reception to borrow one.

Kids activities

Every morning after breakfast, my son enjoys his time with the activities they plan for kids. The place was just beside Saffron, so you can still eat if you want, while watching your children busy themselves.

They even lend bubble wands so kids can have a blast during their stay. Make sure to return them after using.

Amorita Resort Bohol rates

Amorita Panglao room rates start at 9,889 PHP (169.21 USD) – of course, it will depend on what room type you want. We were very happy with the junior suite, but you can get an even bigger room if you want.

Check room rates here.

Bohol tours

Among the Bohol tours, we chose one tour that was enjoyable to us adults and our son. But below are other great tours you can check – because there’s no one size fits all when it comes to traveling.

Countryside tour with Bohollywood

Stunning view, isn’t it? Visit this Sikatuna’s Mirror of the World!

The Chocolate Hills and tarsier were once part of our textbooks – and they stayed there for so many years. Until we visited Bohol was the only time they finally came to life! And it was such a great sight!

Apart from these 2, we also went to Blood Compact Shrine, Baclayon Church, Sikatuna’s Mirror of the World, Bilar Man-made Forest, and a souvenir shop, of course! We also had lunch on a floating boat with a stunning view! If you don’t think this is worth it, then, I don’t know what is.

Wait for my written review soon! Meanwhile, you can check here first.

Countryside tour

If you want all the others on top but without the trip to the Mirrors of the World, then you can get this one instead. A bit cheaper, but all I can say is that the Bohollywood was actually worth it, especially at night or in the afternoon (since it was very hot during the day).
