Seda Hotel Manila Bay: All-in-One Staycation Place

Seda Hotel Manila Bay – A hotel that’s LITERALLY beside the mall.

Everyone needs a quick break from the hustles of everyday life. So do we. Thankfully, a Seda Hotel location is found not too far from us. After seeing posts on social media about Seda Hotel Pasay, we decided to try it out.

With all the amenities it offers, Seda Manila Bay is one great place especially if you have children. Apart from huge swimming pools, Seda in Pasay has a gym, and a mini playroom for kids and older kids.

You might have seen lots of Seda Hotel reviews out there, but if you’re still unconvinced, you should check this out because I did my best to make you change your mind with this honest review!

Seda Manila Bay Location

You can see the Ayala Mall Manila Bay from the Seda Hotel Manila Bay.

It’s not surprising that you’ll find many Seda Hotels in the city. Since the Ayala Corporation owns them, you’ll probably see an Ayala Mall nearby.

Just like Ayala Vertis North, which is very near TriNoma, Seda Manila Bay is right beside Ayala Mall Manila Bay! You can literally walk to go to the mall, because Seda parking is right beside the Ayala Mall parking.

It’s very convenient because you can have a stroll right after you have your breakfast buffet.

Are you far from Pasay? Here are other Seda Hotel branches that could be near to you!

Seda Hotel Room Rates

Different Seda Hotel branches have different room rates.

But we paid for a discounted Seda Hotel price of 8,000 PHP (141.93 USD). We liked that the hotel is a walking distance from the Ayala Mall Manila Bay. We also checked out the Parqal at night, so it was a nice pick to forget about our worries even for a short time.

Our Experience

There are many Seda Hotels in Metro Manila, but what piqued our interest to try the Manila Bay branch is because of the hearsay that it’s the best in amenities. However, there’s more to the child-friendly staycation in Manila – Seda Pasay.

Check out what to expect if you book a night or 2 at Seda Manila Bay!

Room

Seda Hotel Manila Bay’s king-size bed is large enough to accommodate 2 adults and 2 children.

We booked the Deluxe King Room, which is inclusive of breakfast for 2 adults. The king-size bed seemed bigger than the usual king bed in other hotels we’ve booked before. We were surprised there’s still room for 1 after the 3 of us laid on it.

There’s a sofa on the side, an office table and chair beside it, and TV with limited channels. I was a bit disappointed that I couldn’t watch my favorite Asian Food Channel there. I hope they include more channels in the future!

Our room had a nice view of the Seda swimming pools, so we’d know if they’re crowded before we go.

There’s a blower in the cabinet and quite a lot of hangers to keep your clothes wring-free. We even found a digital weighing scale, which other hotels didn’t offer.

Bathroom

The bathroom was just the right size, with ample space for showering with your toddler. I especially liked the lighted mirror in the bathroom! It brings out that very nice glow making you look like a fresh teenager again!

There’s a rubber floor mat you can use to ensure everyone’s safety, especially if you have very active young kids. But we found the shower floor with some stains, not sure if it wasn’t cleaned that well, or if they were unable to remove them.

Nonetheless, the bathroom has a homey feel, so you can keep your hygiene in check as you wish.

Swimming Pools

It’s surprising for Seda Manila Bay to have huge swimming pools – one for adults, which is 4 feet deep, and another one for children that’s 2 feet deep.

You wouldn’t expect a swimming pool in the middle of the city that could cater to many hotel guests.

The children’s pool even had showers and stationary water guns so kids could enjoy their time more in the warm pool. As a plus, even the adult pool is very warm, so you wouldn’t be afraid to instantly jump in even if the weather is a bit cold.

See the shower and water gun? Kids will surely have a great time in this pool!

Seda Swimming Pool Opening Hours: 6 AM to 8 PM

Gym

If the swimming pools are big, of course, the gym wouldn’t want to be left behind. Many gym equipment are included so you can choose which one works best for you.

Seda Gym Opening Hours: 6 AM to 10 PM

Children Playroom

The Children Playroom was not that big, although my son enjoyed his time there for an hour (and I only said we’d leave, otherwise, he’d still be staying there longer).

It has a small ball pit, a mini kitchen, and a table and chairs, so children can play pretend. There are some cars and blocks too. On the side, there are couches where adults can rest while their little ones break a sweat.

Kids can spend hours in this Seda Hotel playroom. 🙂

I highly recommend the free children’s playroom!

Game Room

I found some Seda Manila Bay reviews, but they didn’t include the Game Room.

However, this one’s a plus since we seldom see game rooms where older children (or even adults) can enjoy playing!

Adults and teenagers would love to spend time playing foosball…

The Seda Manila Bay Game Room has air hockey, foosball, computer games, and even game consoles! Best of all, it shares the same room as the mini playroom. So, parents (or those young at hearts) can have a blast while their little ones spend hours in the Children Playroom.

Even air hockey is a hit with us adults!

Mini Golf

Yet another amenity not found in any other hotels, is Seda’s Mini Golf.

If it weren’t for the hot sunny weather, we would’ve tried the Mini Golf. But since we just wanted to cool off, we decided to swim in the pool instead.

Seda Mini Golf Opening Hours: 6 AM to 8 PM

Seda Spa

Another thing not to miss is the Seda Spa.

We didn’t inquire inside since we didn’t have plans for a massage when we went to Seda Pasay, but you should try it out if you love a good ‘ol spa.

Seda Spa Opening Hours: 12 PM to 12 AM; Rates start at 1,500 PHP (26.62 USD)

Roof Deck View

We almost missed checking the roof deck out, but thankfully, we noticed it while waiting inside the elevator.

The night scenery at the rooftop is surely a place to be for quiet times, and if you want to have a view of the city, especially at night. It seems that the place would be a bit hot if you go there during the daytime.

But I liked how you can have a 180-degree view (yes, because it’s only the other half of the city) + a few more degrees if your sight can extend some more. But kidding aside, if you have the time, I highly suggest you spend an hour or 2 at the roof deck for a very very very relaxing time.

Seda Hotel Breakfast Buffet

As included in the package we booked, we had an early breakfast buffet the next morning.

Since many people were checking in when we arrived, we decided to get up early the next day so we can enjoy our breakfast buffet without the rush. Aside from some international athletes staying there on the same day as us, many locals also wanted to relax during the weekend.

After watching some food vlogs about the Seda Manila Bay menu for breakfast, our appetite were revved up. And when it was our time to try it out, the food there was indeed superb!

Despite the place not being too big, we didn’t expect that there’d be many food selections. Mostly having Filipino dishes, the Seda breakfast menu also had some hot noodle soup and the usual Western breakfast food.

There were cheese, sausages, luncheon meat (which didn’t taste like the ones with preservatives), and even miso soup! Many different types of bread are also available on the buffet table, and you can heat them in the mini oven.

You can also enjoy a bowl of healthy vegetable salad if you like.

I like that Misto (Seda Hotel Restaurant) serves taho (silken tofu with sweet syrup and sago pearls) and assorted kakanins like biko, bibingka, and kutchinta. There are even various salt-cured fishes such as danggit, tuyo, and dilis

Aren’t you drooling yet?

If you love having a heavy breakfast (or brunch), you should head to Seda Hotel Manila Bay for that filling meal!

Seda Hotel Breakfast Buffet Time: 6 AM to 10 AM; Seda Breakfast Buffet Price: 1,200 PHP (21.29 USD)

Seda Hotel Manila Bay Review Conclusion

I’ll not be surprised if there would be lots of Seda Manila Bay reviews that will come out soon! Because of the nice amenities Seda Pasay has to offer, people will be going there to stay for a night or two.

You don’t even have to worry about food because Seda Manila Bay restaurants are just walking distance from the hotel. Have you tried staying at other Seda Hotels in the Philippines? How was your experience? I’d love to hear about your story too!
