We were 8th on the line!
It wasn’t really a wise choice trying Niku Niku Oh Kome (Mall of Asia), since we arrived at the place at quarter to 7 PM. The staff told us we were 8th on the line, but we have our names listed anyway, and waited for our turn.
Thankfully, there was a Disney Store nearby, so we checked it out first while waiting for our turn. It was also a Saturday so we expected that there’d be a long queue.
So you have to consider your waiting time especially if you’re going to eat at Niku Niku Oh Kome during the peak hours/days.
Japanese burger restaurant MOA
We don’t usually look for burger patties when visiting Japan, because, well we prefer to eat the typical Japanese cuisine – ramen, sushi, and yakiniku. But when we heard there’s a new burger restaurant in Manila, we couldn’t let it pass especially since my son chose burger over pizza! That’s something new!
So, where is this Japanese burger patty restaurant located?
Go to the North main mall of SM Mall of Asia, on the 1st floor you’ll see lots of great restaurants, and beside the Singaporean restaurant, you’ll see Niku Niku Oh Kome. You’ll find it very easily since there might be people waiting outside to dine.
Niku Niku Oh Kome location is easily seen so you don’t have to worry about getting lost when finding it.
Niku Niku Oh Kome menu Philippines
Niku Niku Oh Kome menu price is easy to navigate since there are only very limited choices. But, sometimes, it’s actually better than having a lot on the menu so you don’t have to glance through lots of good food and get confused about which one to get.
When it was almost our turn to go in, the staff already let us choose our orders in advance, and it was a great idea for smoother transaction, plus, we could get to eat faster too!
Just a tip that once you’re called to sit, you have to pay for your orders at the cashier immediately so your orders will be given to the chef in front of your seats.
Once we’re seated, the staff immediately handed our miso soups, bowls of rice, onsen eggs, and sauce plates. The soup spoon, tissue, and chopsticks are found in the drawer on the table, so don’t be shy and get whatever you need.

As I said earlier, I didn’t have a hard time choosing for what to eat – me and my kid shared in one order. (Pro tip: Everyone sitting on the bar chair has to order one set, however, if you have a kid, have her sit at the high chair so she is not required a set of her own).
Of course, the best to order for me and my kid is the one with cheese topping. For one, the cheese topping piqued my son’s interest, and yeah, it was actually his choice. Well, I couldn’t disagree because I also love cheese.
The grilling pan is also in front of you, and that’s where the staff will place your burgers and broccolis to cook. Since our order is Niku Niku Oh Kome Set J, which had a burger and 2 cheese burgers, the first burger the staff put on the pan was the plain one.
After enjoying the plain one, he will follow through with the cheeseburger.
All sets include unlimited rice, soup, and broccoli. The soup had a fish ball everytime we ordered, so I find it very nice. And lemme tell you, the fish ball was very crunchy, so it’ll definitely make you want to order for more!
Set H
Hubby ordered Niku Niku Oh Kome Burger Set H. In it, he had a plain burger and a burger with mushroom sauce. Just like any typical mushroom sauce, Niku Niku Oh Kome’s sauce matches well with the burger.
But let’s not forget the onsen egg included in the meal. It’s a great topping to your burger rice combo – especially since the soft boiled egg added to the creaminess of your dish.
Along with onsen egg, what you shouldn’t miss is the Niku Niku Oh Kome sauces with lots of variants to choose from. There’s this BBQ sauce, onion sauce, and Aurora sauce (which tasted like your burger sauce from the famous fast food restaurant).
But then, there are also some other special additions you might want to try with your burger if you want to try something different from the norm. You can get a pinch or 2 of the salt and pepper or you can have garlic chili oil.
How about adding mustard sauce, Korean samjjang, and wasabi salt koji sauce? Mix and match to however you like with your burger.

Currently, there’s only one Niku Niku Oh Kome branch in the Philippines. So, if you want to try the new Japanese burger steak restaurant, better head to SM Mall of Asia and line up early to have a quick bite!
