Overlooking restaurant in Tagaytay

It was a rainy day when we visited The View Tagaytay. Upon leaving the car, we quickly squeezed our way to the restaurant. Thankfully, it was only 5 in the afternoon when we arrived there, and it was a weekday, so there weren’t many people at that time.
In case you went there on peak days, don’t worry because there’s a waiting area for you to sit and just enjoy the cool breeze.

But we were amazed at the beauty in the window, so even though we had to stay indoors, we enjoyed our dinner. The cafe also had a nice vibe inside, so you won’t long for the balcony view.

But of course, I’d suggest you stay at the al fresco part since you’re already in Tagaytay and probably want to feel the cooler weather instead.

The View Restaurant + Cafe menu
So what did we order?
The View Tagaytay price menu offers a whole lot of delicious goodies, which left us hard to decide which ones to get. But we always know to consider what would make our son enjoy his food, so we choose his favorites first, before ours.

And below are what we ordered from The View restaurant menu.
Pork sisig
If you’re a Filipino and haven’t tried pork sisig ever in your life, then you must be missing out on something really, really good! I’m not talking about the healthy kind of good, but the good where your lips are filled with grease and heavenly flavor of pork belly.

And I believe that most Filipinos have to order a cup or 2 of hot plain rice to pair with their pork sisig. Yum!
Crispy kare kare
I love how The View Tagaytay added a twist to the usual kare kare recipe!

Adding the rich savory peanut taste of the kare kare sauce to crispy deep-fried pork belly will certainly make you want to have another piece after your first one. But, don’t forget to add a bit of the shrimp paste or bagoong, because this is one of the essentials when eating a kare kare.

Chicken Basket
A basket full of crispy fried chicken is a must-order for if you’re bringing children along with you!

The View Tagaytay made sure that even kids of any age would be delighted too while enjoying the great scenery beside each table. Best of all, you can have the chicks for to go if you didn’t finish them, so you don’t have to think about what to cook for your kids the next day!
The View Marley Pasta
Another dish not to be missed in The View restaurant cafe menu Philippines is The View Marley Pasta. Dunno how they came up with the name, but all I can say is that it’s the best of both worlds – cause you’re having pesto and marinara in one dish!

So, if you’re like us who love the herby taste of basil and sweet and tangy taste of marinara, then make sure to add this to your order list!
The View Tagaytay party hall
Go up to the 2nd floor, and you’ll find a hall, where you can reserve for parties and special events. But by the stairs, I was attracted by the aesthetic decorations on the wall. Plates of different designs hang on black metal hooks — which added to the charm.

And after catching some breathe, I finally took a look at the empty and quiet hall. The staff was busily arranging the chairs and the place — since he said there’s an event coming up over the weekend.

More restaurants in Tagaytay with view
I’m sure you already know many Tagaytay restaurants with a view already since the place is overly crowded already, and the people are probably mostly from Manila. However, if you’re still not yet familiar yet about the place (or you might learn a thing or two), below are some more restaurants:
- Balay Dako
- Antonios
- Farmer’s Table Tagaytay
- La View de Taal Tagaytay Restaurant
- Leslie’s Ridge and Restaurant
- Tsokolateria
- While not really a restaurant, Starbucks Reserve Hiraya boasts a really really great view especially at night! Read my review about it here.
The View Tagaytay review conclusion
So many Tagaytay restaurants with view are famous now, but I’m sure there’ll be the ones where you’d want to go back to over and over again. Are we going back to The View Tagaytay? We’d love to! Especially if we want to release our stresses.
