Solea Mactan Cebu – As a young family, we love going to resorts that have playparks like Jpark Island Resort. We learned about Solea Hotel Mactan, so we had to go there and see for ourselves why it’s a beach resort that you should check out.

Solea Cebu Resort amenities
The Solea Mactan Resort price sure isn’t cheap, so I want you to know why it’s all worth it. But do watch out for some things that we didn’t find nice – so read below to know what to expect at Solea Resort.
Swimming pools
One of the things that we always look forward to when visiting a resort is the swimming pool. And here at Solea Hotel Cebu, you know that you’re gonna have a great time in their pools.
Why?
Because there’s not only one, not 2, but 3 swimming pools inside. However, the only downside for us (I’m sure not if all agrees with me), is that the sun shines so brightly that it might burn you if you swim during the peak of the day.
On a brighter note, you don’t have to be afraid of crowding should there be lots of people around because there are lots of pools to choose from.
Aquapark
One of the things Solea Mactan Resort boasts is the aquapark. I like that there’s a bunch of things to do for young kids here. They have slides and shallow water, so you’re not afraid that kids drown.
But apart from that, it even has octopuses that provide shade whenever you just want to chill in the middle of the day. We spent most of the day here!
Happy Pebbles Club
Another thing that’s so great about Solea Mactan Resort is the Happy Pebbles Club – where you’ll gonna have a hard time telling your kids to go back to your room. The air-conditioned playroom is enough to keep kids of any ages busy!
Inside, there are also arcade games – but you just have to buy the tokens, though. Still, a great way to keep everyone busy when you’re tired of swimming.
I also saw a mini spa space, so adults can also have a relaxing time while inside. Check the rates so you’re prepared before you go.
Inflatable waterpark
During our visit, that was last November 2025, the inflatables wasn’t there, sadly. But the staff said it’ll arrive soon, because the old one got broken due to the strong rain. So it was sad and empty during our visit.
So, if you’re going to visit, make sure to check out the new inflatable waterpark, and hope you enjoy your stay more than we did!
Beach
While I loved the pools, aquapark, and playroom, what I didn’t appreciate about Solea Mactan Resort is its beach. But then again, It was long ago since we visited, and they might have now fixed what needs to be fixed.
It was so hot when I walked to get to the beach that I just took some photos, and returned immediately to the pool to cool down. Nonetheless, if you love soaking in the sun on a hot sandy beach, it’s a must you check this one.

Solea Mactan Resort breakfast buffet
Plenty of yummy dishes, that’s how I like to describe Solea Mactan Hotel breakfast buffet. They even have eggs Benedict, which I got. I also loved how cozy the place is, because you can see families here and there.
Of course, I couldn’t let go of the refreshing detox drinks they offer everyday. There are also a lot of Filipino dishes like tocino, adobo, etc.
Free coupons
We were very happy to receive some free coupons during our visit. However, the only downside is that some of the activities weren’t available that time. Did I mention that a typhoon hit them few months back? So they were just recovering from it, and even didn’t have the inflatable, so we just let go of the things we couldn’t do.
Thankfully, we were able to fully utilize the Happy Pebbles Club, and you know that a happy child makes a happy parent. So, we were happy with that!
Our room
A spacious room is a plus when you’re visiting with a family. And here at Solea Mactan, they have lots of room for kids to play.
The toilet is complete with shower and a bathtub, so if you want to relax at night and don’t want to go to the pool, you can just stay here and soak. Basic toiletries like toothbrush, toothpaste, shower gel, shampoo are complete too.
But of course, I couldn’t forget how nice the view is from the balcony. And then there are these relaxing chairs where you can just forget about your worries as you think about life.
Solea Mactan day use
If you’re in the area staying at another place, or just want to use the waterpark and swimming pools, good news!
You can access them by buying a day pass.
And when you do, you can use all the amenities inside Solea without having to pay for the Mactan Resort room rates. You can also avail the pass with dinner buffet and massage – just pick here.
Solea Mactan Resort reviews conclusion
If you’re looking for affordable beach resorts in Mactan, Cebu, Solea Mactan Resort is one to go to. But if you want more, I highly suggest you stay at Jpark Resort and Waterpark as well. This is judge an honest review of a momma who wants her child happy!

More great hotels to visit with kids
Not only is Solea Mactan Resort a great place to stay with kids, because below, you can also experience great amenities that would make the whole family happy!
Jpark Island Resort and Waterpark
Also in Cebu, Jpark Island Resort and Waterpark is another resort you should check if you have kids. I love that they have indoor playground as well, so if your child is a fan of Pororo, I’m sure you’ll also fall in love here.

Solaire Resort North
Not in Cebu, but in Quezon City, Solaire Resort North is one of the hotels here in Metro Manila that I highly recommend. Especially if you have very young children, because they have a mini waterpark beside the pool, but they also have a large playroom!
