Jpark Island Resort and Waterpark Amenities: Everything You Need To Know

pororo park, jpark hotel

Jpark Island Resort & Waterpark, Cebu – When my son was little, he loved watching Pororo and Friends, so when we learned there’s a Pororo-themed hotel in Cebu City, we knew we must go there to surprise our son.

Jpark Island Resort Cebu was once called Imperial Palace. The name Jpark is a combination of 2 best friends – Justin Uy and Mr. Yong Jun Park. And the 17-hectare Jpark Hotel (Cebu) has been running for 15 years!

In this post, I’ll share with you my Jpark Island Resort and Waterpark and Pororo Park review. Stay tuned for the Jpark hotel room review soon! – I also did a Deluxe and Pororo Suite room reviews here, and I’ll be doing more hotel reviews in the future so be sure to stay in the loop by following me on my socials – Facebook and TikTok!

Jpark Cebu location

Jpark Island Resort and Waterpark is just a 30-minute ride from Mactac-Cebu International Airport. Thankfully, there wasn’t heavy traffic when we arrived there. Outside Jpark Island Resort and Waterpark is a plaza wherein you can dine in Japanese and mostly Korean restaurants.

Get a restful day at Jpark Island Resort and Waterpark’s hammock.

We tried some of them and will review them, so you have an idea where to dine in case you want other dishes. There’s also a Metro market so you can buy your must haves in case you forgot them at home.

One of the best hotels in Cebu

Not finding many Jpark Cebu reviews, I realized I needed to write one soon so that more Pororo fans could get to know more about it. So without further ado, lemme share our experience and how we squeezed ALL the activities during our stay.

We chose a morning flight so we could maximize the use of Jpark amenities. Even before check in, you can already take a tour of the Jpark Hotel Resort to plan your activities ahead. It’s hard to imagine how big a 17-hectare is until you walk around the Pororo Resort.

The sun was scorching hot as it was lunch when we arrived, so if you plan to arrive at that time, be sure to wear your sunblock and bring your portable fans with you. Of course, I couldn’t not bring mine since I have a child who’s sweaty most of the time.

Jpark Island Resort and Waterpark outdoor playground

We checked out the Jpark outdoor playground first, which is located on the left side if you come out of The Abalone Restaurant (where Jpark buffet breakfast is served).

There’s a slide, swings, swing seats, a seesaw, monkey bars, and many other workout equipment. We also saw a basketball court, so ballers can have great time – whilst enjoying the hot sun! But to prevent from getting sunburned, it’s best to enjoy the area in the afternoon.

Jpark Island Resort and Waterpark pool, slides, and beach

After that, we walked back outside of the Jpark restaurant so we could check the swimming pools. The pathway leading to the Jpark waterpark was literally a walk in the park because you’ll be passing by a field of greeneries.

We saw a large wooden sling foosball game so we tried it out and had lots of fun! However, the Jpark Island Resort and Waterpark staff took it away after so we’re not sure if guests are allowed to play with it or not. Haha

Island pool

This 5-feet-deep pool goes around so you won’t feel the crowd.

The first pool that greeted us was the Island pool. In this 5-ft pool, you’ll enjoy loads of time if you want to chill and relax. If you don’t know how to swim or if the pool is too deep, you can borrow life vests on the side.

They even have children-sized life vests, so if you don’t have one for your child, you can just borrow theirs. Of course, we brought my son’s so we used what we had instead.

Amazon river

Staying at Amazon river all day is enough for me to purchase the Jpark Waterpark day pass.

If you want to lazy around and let the water take you wherever, just head on to the Amazon river. It’s one great place if you want to float on large floaters.

There’s even a double floater so you and your partner won’t lose one another. Just be sure to move fast to secure yourselves with floaters because it’s on a first come first serve basis.

Nonetheless, you can also just wait until someone gets tired of floating around to enjoy the Jpark river pool.

Do take note that as you relax while floating, you’ll encounter some sprinklers along the way. So you’re sure not to get dry skin after playing in this area.

Beach pool

Connected to the Amazon pool is the Beach pool.

If you want to experience a beach-like water experience but hate the feel of sand, you can enjoy the Beach pool. So called beach pool because the entrance is just like the beach wherein the water slowly rises as you walk further into the pool.

Wave pool

Hit the waves and never be afraid of drowning when you go to Jpark Hotel’s Wave pool.

Not many people were in the wave pool during our visit. It seems that not many know a wave will come out if they stay there since we didn’t find anything indicating that it’s a wave pool.

We also weren’t able to experience it since we stayed at Island pool most of the time.

Captain Hook’s pool

Not all hotels in the Philippines (Cebu City) have pools that target young kids. Captain Hook’s pool easily caught our son’s attention.

Apart from kiddie slides, there is also a huge pail waiting to be filled with water. And when it does, it pours down to empty itself, then the cycle repeats over and over and over. So, if you want a big splash of shower on your head, go ahead and enjoy Captain Hook’s pool.

Toddler’s pool

Beside Captain Hook’s pool is a miniature beach pool called Toddler’s pool. A raining umbrella is there and small slides that’s safe for toddler-aged kids, so you can let your guard down a bit (of course, you still need to watch your kids) while there.

Giant slides

Another thing not to be missed to ensure you’re getting what you paid for at the Jpark Hotel Resort entrance fee is by riding the Giant Slides.

As a person who loves a bit of a thrill, I was convinced by hubby to try the 3 thrilling water slides. And after thinking ten times, I found myself fired up to go to all of them.

I was a bit anxious at first, because it has been a long time since I last rode giant slides. But I thought that since we’re already there, why not try them out, right?

So to give you a tip, try the swirling slide first, before the white and green slides, so the latter 2 will be easy peasy already. The staff will teach you how to slide smoothly, and I was glad I tried all of them!

Will I ride them again if we go back there? DEFINITELY!!!

New beach

Included in the Jpark Hotel Resort price, is a beach with nice white sand. While the beach is not that big to accompany many people, I believe it’s a great place to unwind and forget all your worries.

Another thing I liked about the New beach is the way they made it. The relaxing chairs and hammocks can take you away to distant place so you can enjoy the view. Just look at the picture below to get an idea about what I’m talking about.

Jpark Cebu J Activity Zone

An overnight stay surely can’t be enough if you also want to check out Jpark Island J Activity Zone — more commonly known as Pororo Park. Surely, if you have a child, you’re more likely to enter Pororo Park because that’s one of the reasons why you’re visiting Jpark Island Resort and Waterpark, isn’t it?

Jpark Island Resort and Waterpark amenities rates

Without booking a night at Jpark Hotel rooms, you can use the amenities by just purchasing Jpark amenities price. And yes, I can assure you that what you’re paying for is worth every penny.

Whether you prefer to enjoy the waterpark or play in the Pororo Park, you can book them via Klook. And you know what? You can even score discounts when you use the promo code HAPPIKLOOK before you checkout!

NOTE: You can redeem Klook promo code HAPPIKLOOK then use it for later!

Jpark Waterpark day use

If you don’t want to pay for Jpark Island Resort price but want to have an exciting day at the waterpark, you can just pay 3,500 Php (59.66 USD). What’s included in the waterpark rate is unlimited use of the water slides, beach, and all the different pools I talked about on top.

But wait! There’s more…

This is what breakfast at The Abalone Restaurant looks like.

Each ticket can claim lunch or dinner – set meal or buffet at The Abalone Restaurant. We loved the food served during breakfast, so I believe that lunch and dinner buffet would also be good.

Pororo Park

We’ve been watching Jpark Cebu J Activity Zone reviews many times before going so we knew what to expect when we get there. Most of the parents’ reviews said that the place is very nice and worth your money, so we didn’t think twice about going there during our visit.

Thankfully, we have a free entrance included in the Jpark Pororo room rate (more about it in my next blog post).

If you didn’t book the Pororo Suite, you can just go to the counter to pay for the Jpark Cebu J Activity Zone entrance fee. For each child, you need to pay 2,000 Php (35 USD) and one adult can go in with her.

This price is good for 2 hours, but if you want to play some more, you can pay additional 1,500 Php (28 USD) for the succeeding hour. Also, if you plan to leave your child in the Pororo Park for the whole day, the price is 8,500 Php (155 USD) for an all-day access.

Note: Pororo Park closes at 12NN to 1PM, and 6PM to 7PM, for sanitation.

But, if you use the promo code HAPPIKLOOK, you can get discounts when you book at Klook.

And just like any other indoor playgrounds, Jpark J Activity Zone requires everyone to wear socks to go in. Didn’t bring one? You can buy them at the counter.

So, what will you see inside the Pororo Park?

Locker Area and Work Station

To the left of the entrance, there are numerous locker areas where you can keep your stuff as your child enjoys his time inside the Jpark Island Resort and Waterpark indoor playground. However, I wasn’t handed a key to the locker, so I’m not sure if you can borrow them from the receptionist.

Nonetheless, I didn’t need them because I didn’t bring any important thing to lose during our visit.

A workstation for parents and guardians? Why not!

Just beside the Aqua Play Zone, there are chairs and a table for parents or caregivers who need to rest or work. I find it very nice that the Jpark Island Resort owner was very thoughtful of. Especially that some parents need to work overtime for the family.

Petty’s Merry-go-round

Even before entering, you’ll immediately see Petty’s Merry-go-round. It’s a mini carousel wherein children can play safely even without a guardian. Of course, a staff was still there to watch over my son as he rode the horses.

Eddy’s Sliding Car

A little thrill won’t hurt the kids especially if they want to ride Eddy’s Sliding Car. The sliding car swings in a not-too-fast manner, but if your child is not ready, an adult can ride alongside her.

Aqua Play Zone

Before playing at the Aqua Play Zone, your child needs to wear a waterproof coat and boots to prevent her from getting wet. The staff will help your child wear them so you don’t have to. My son almost spent most of his time there because it was a nice water play experience for him.

Your child needs to wear a waterproof coat and boots when entering the Aqua Play Zone.

He was excited to pour water from the cups and let the fish slide down in the round water slides. I had to call him out to check the other parts of Jpark J Activity Zone.

Tutu’s 4D Rider

Riding Tutu’s 4D Rider gave our son a scare. The 4-dimension ride was a great opportunity to let your child enjoy a thrilling roller coaster ride. In there, you’ll know whether your child is ready for the real roller coaster, or not.

And it seems we have to wait a little longer before our son rides roller coasters.

Digital Sketch

Digital Sketch, as the name implies, is a place where you can enjoy coloring and drawing your favorite Pororo characters and then flash them on the big screen.

My son was amazed at how his artwork was transported to the huge screen in front of him. He colored lots and took the papers home as a remembrance.

Pororo Train

When I first saw the Pororo Train, I knew I’d be riding it with my son!

Besides enjoying train toys, he was delighted to ride with Pororo and Eddy! The low-intensity ride is surely safe for kids of all ages. Again, very young kids still need supervision.

Sliding Ball Pool

What kid wouldn’t love a slide and ball pit in one? I haven’t seen one kid who hates the ball pit! And my son enjoyed his time especially since his dad played with him too at Jpark Island Resort and Waterpark ball pit!

Crong’s Jungle Gym

One of the benefits of a jungle gym is that it helps with strength, balance, and coordination development. So even though sometimes playgrounds make my son sweaty, I just let him be, because I know that the benefits outweigh the sweat he produces.

Trampoline for Children

Two types of trampoline are included in the Jpark Cebu J Activity Zone price.

One is for older kids, and the other for toddlers, which is found downstairs. Majority of the activities for younger kids are found on the first floor, so you know where to go if you have younger kids.

Tong-Tong’s Little Theatre

This is the highlight of our Pororo Park experience!

What’s better than statues are mascots that look real and alive.

And Pororo and some of his friends are sure to delight every fan with their live performances at Tong-Tong’s Little Theatre. The smile on my son’s face is surely a sign that he’s having fun. As a bonus, he got to take photos with his favorite Pororo friends!

Pororo performance schedule: 10 AM and 2:30 PM, about 30 minutes duration

Rody’s Racing Game

I checked the room beside Digital Sketch and found no one managing inside, but turns out, it also has an exciting game – Rody’s Racing Game. Sadly we weren’t able to use it, since I didn’t know if it was working or not.

I think this is a sign we should go back to Jpark Island Resort and Waterpark again in the future!

Giant Slide

Remember when we went outside to check the outdoor playground? We saw a tube connected to the outside of a building where Rody seems to be catching you. That’s what they call the Giant Slide, and the staff will even let you wear a lab coat or something of that sort as you slide down the tube.

My son wanted to slide at first but hesitated in the end. However, we found some of the bigger kids enjoying the slide.

Petty’s Pool Zone

At the end of Giant Slide, you’ll fall into a mini ball pit called Petty’s Pool Zone. After riding the giant slide, you’ll be transported to the toddler zone, where young kids can safely play.

Trampoline for Toddlers

A smaller version of the trampoline you saw on 2nd floor will be found downstairs. So younger kids can also enjoy jumping and sweating it out too.

Harry’s Soft Foam Zone

Just after reaching the 1st floor, you’ll be greeted by a mini attraction space called Harry’s Soft Foam Zone. In it, young kids can spend a lot of time exploring about the activity space safely as parents and guardians sit comfortably in the chairs found in Loopy’s House.

Loopy’s Gym Play and Kitchen Zone

The next Jpark indoor play area that took most of my son’s time is Loopy’s Gym Play and Kitchen Zone. It has a cute mini kitchen that looks like a real one, with lots of grocery items for kids to play pretend cooking.

The gym play area is where kids can go up and down and release all their energy so they can sleep soundly after play. There’s also a slide for more enjoyment and fun time.

Eddy’s Retinospora Zone

If you don’t have a choice but to watch Pororo with your kid, then you must know that Eddy is a scientist who loves experimenting. And the next space with mini wooden cubes is called Eddy’s Retinospora Zone.

In it, children can have a good time playing with the mini cubes, transferring, pouring, or whatever they want with gusto. There are mini trucks and sand toys to help children develop fine motor skill, cognitive skill, and creativity.

Pororo Fishing Zone

I thought it was funny that there were lots of fish in one space of Loopy’s Gym Play area. But that was actually Pororo Fishing Zone where children can play pretend fishing.

Loopy’s House

If you and you’re kids get hungry while playing, you can always refresh and recharge at Loopy’s House. You can order sandwiches, pizzas, and kids food like chicken nuggets, fish and chips, and sweet spaghetti.

Different types of beverages are also available in the area like sodas, juices, and shakes. Surely, a meal couldn’t be complete without dessert, and you can also have them at Loopy’s snack bar.

It didn’t surprise me that Loopy was the character they used for the snack bar because in the show, Loopy loves cooking for her friends.

Breastfeeding and Diaper Changing Zone

Jpark Island Resort and Waterpark’s owner sure knows how to care for customers. Because younger children might need to breastfeed or change diapers, there’s a space for them in Pororo Park too!

On the 2nd floor beside Eddy’s Sliding Car, you’ll see a breastfeeding and diaper changing zone. It’s a room where you can bring your baby to have her breastmilk meal and change soiled diapers.

Pororo park cebu opening hours: 8 AM to 12 NN, 1 PM to 6 PM, 7 PM to 10 PM

Pororo Game Zone

Beside Loopy’s House, you’ll find more interesting games for older children and adults to play.

There’s Mini-Bowling, Gorilla Dart, Air Hockey, and Speed Touch. But you need to buy tokens to be able to play in this area.

Jpark Island Resort and Waterpark Amenities Review Conclusion

Whew! I can’t believe I’m now done with Jpark Island Resort and Waterpark amenities review!

With this, I can honestly say that we’d be happy to go back again to experience both the waterpark and J Activity Zone, all because we know our son had a great time spending his vacation there!
