For Richer or For Poorer?

The other day, I was reading an article that states that there are quite a number of royalty that either was dethroned (not sure if this is the appropriate term) forcefully or decided to give up their title by themselves. Apparently, majority of them left their possible chance to become the king or queen of their kingdom on their own. When a royalty chose their own happiness to marry the one they love (if that is a commoner) then this disables them from being crowned as the heir to the throne.

Many of us would always feel that royalties are lucky being born with a blue blood. But little did we know that living inside a palace is not that really fun. Well yes it is great because you get served by your personal butler, and you get to have the best and most expensive branded shoes or bags without having to sweat. And who wouldn’t want the limelight? Notice that even their youngest prince is an instant celebrity upon being born. How wonderful it is!

But are they really having fun with their lives?

Probably some of them is. But it seems to me that a lot of them are tired of being followed around by their nannies and would by all means want to go about their daily routines without anyone that is afraid they would fall off behind.

This just goes to show that not wealth alone can make a person genuinely happy. That no matter how the money makes the world go round, it still could not satisfy a person to be happy.

In the end, money will never be 100 percent at making people happy. Being in a happy relationship still matters. Not only with our family, relatives and friends, but most importantly, to our almighty God. So make yourself available to them and make sure to connect with them always. You will never know how your simple smile can make a difference in their lives. 🙂
