Bolton Cafe menu
We don’t usually dine at Hong Kong breakfast places, because we prefer to just grab a quick breakfast fix, so we could maximize our Hong Kong trip. But, we couldn’t let pass Bolton Cafe, because we were intrigued by the videos we saw – saying that it’s a must-visit cafe in Hong Kong!
Check out the food that we tried during our visit to Bolton Cafe Tsim Sha Tsui.

Hong Kong Pineapple bun
Of course, the number one pastry we love eating when visiting Hong Kong is the pineapple bun. And not all pineapple buns are created equal because there are those that you know are legit, and others doesn’t taste anything like that.
But Bolton Cafe’s pineapple bun?

I’d say it should be on your Hong Kong food list. The sweet crunchy outer crust blends so perfectly with the soft bun – and see those sunny side up eggs? Definitely a great stuffing for your pineapple bun, aka bo lo bao.
Pineapple buns aren’t made of pineapples, and no fruit is inside. So, why call it like that? Because the top portion looks like pineapple skin.
Hong Kong-style milk tea
Not everyone appreciates Hong Kong-style milk tea. But if you’re like us who love the grassy taste of tea, then you’ll surely fall in love with this hot cup of tea. Of course, you can enjoy it cold as well, but for Asians like us, it’s nice to drink a hot cup of drink early in the morning!
Also, I chose hot because I don’t want the ice watering my milk tea down.

Noodle soup with chicken cutlet
Along with this set is a bowl of noodle soup (of course, don’t expect something like Japanese ramen, here) that’s nostalgic – because it reminded me of the classic instant noodle soup.
On top of the noodles is a pan-fried chicken cutlet – thigh part to be exact – and it was fried so lightly with salt and pepper.

Is it good?
I like how light it feels because they only used salt to season the chicken – which, according to hubby, was cooked just the way I do at home. Haha!

Okay, this set menu is Meal B, which is only available from 11 AM to 5:30 PM. When we left, it was 3 PM, and they had quite a queue outside – so make sure to head there early to avoid waiting long in line.
Bolton Cafe address: 20 Ashley Road, Tsim Sha Tsui
How to order in Bolton Cafe?
If you’re like us who aren’t Hong Kong residents, you might not know how to order your food at Bolton Cafe. It’s not the usual, call the staff and order your food. And if you notice, most of the people here have quite a temper especially when you’re stalling their time! So, to make better use of their time, it’s great you know what to do and not ask too much questions!
At Bolton Cafe, you order via the QR code the staff will give you.

They do have physical menu, so you can choose there. But I didn’t find pictures, so you’re just going to base your orders on what you feel like.

Bolton Cafe reviews conclusion
Is Bolton Cafe worth it? If you’re looking for a classic Hong Kong-style breakfast, aka Cha Chaan Teng, then I’m sure you’re going to enjoy it here. The best part about this place is its nostalgic vibes because of the old style decorations inside the cafe.
Did you love my Bolton Cafe photos? I hope you did. Tried to capture its nice old-style vibe.
