A brief history about Ameyoko – It’s a short name for Ameya Yokocho, which meant a candy store alley, because the place traditionally sold candies. But the term Ame could also be a short term for America, because the place used to sell American goods during the World War 2.
So, what can you find in Ameyoko?

Not only can you buy clothes and shoes there, but you can also fill your empty stomach from lots of different Ameyoko street foods. There are seafood, fruits, and takoyaki.
