Unconditional Love

In life, there are two types of people around us.

There is this one that you love the most, while the other is the one who loves you the most.

If you were given the chance to choose between them, who would you choose?

Some of you would choose the one they love the most, simply because, he loves them and could not live without them. They have the sense of bond between them, because they know that their presence is enough to make them whole. Just by seeing the faces of their loved one brightens up their day. They give their love without expecting anything in return. They will do everything to make their love ones happy.

On the other hand, those who choose to be with someone who loves them, receives endless love from that somebody, even without trying too hard. That even if they don't reciprocate them, that person will still show kindness and give value to this person. Even if they ignored the other person, that person would still shower them with their love.

Which among them would you think is best for you? For me, I would choose the one who loves me, because it is always easier to love somebody rather than make a person fall for you. (I know I am a girl that is why I can say this, and I know that guys would choose the former, however, there are still gals out there who would choose the same selection as the guys.) It will always be easier for me to learn to love someone back, because I know that it will be easier for me to control my feelings and way of thinking, instead of making someone else like me.

This is the same way that God is showing us. He loves us unconditionally (take note that I used the present tense of the verb instead of its past counterpart), even if we are sinners, and could not love Him back the way that He should be loved. That no matter how mean or awful our attitude is with Him, He will still love us. Even if there are times when we blame God for a bad happening in our life, He will be ready to listen to our cries. Even if, we did not believe in Him, He still believes that time will come, we will get to know Him, understand Him, and believe in Him.

Romans 5:8 – "but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

God died on the cross because He wants to free us from all the sins that we did, and will have done in the future. There are even times when we hurt others unknowingly, and that is also considerable as a sin. Most of us tell white lies – lies that we know, no matter what reason, will still be counted as sin. Have you ever think badly about somebody? Have you ever wronged someone? Did you ever wish that they'd be gone from this world? Have you ever cursed somebody because of anger? If you answered any of this with yes, then welcome to the club. Congratulations because, all of us who have sinned, have a way to repent them.

2 Chronicles 7:14 – "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Pray and seek for forgiveness, and God shall forgive you because He loves you.

John 4:19 – "We love because he first loved us."

We have this feeling of love because God first loved us. So no matter who we are, what we do, and how we live, we should always remember that God loves us the most.  So we ought to love our neighbors just as how God loves us. 🙂
