Sunshine Coast, Queensland – Queensland might not ring a bell to you, but who would’ve thought that there’s so much to see here? Take Sunshine Coast, for example, where we saw lots of beaches, and enjoyed a whole different side of Australia that you might miss if you don’t go to Queensland!

Things we did in Sunshine Coast, Queensland tourist places
After visiting Gold Coast yesterday, our agenda for today is Sunshine Coast. Now I understand why they sound similar, it’s because they have almost the same beauty – more on beaches and nature. Below are the things we did in Sunshine Coast.
Alexandra Headland

Our first stop at Sunshine Coast is Alexandra Headland.
Go here during summer and you’ll surely enjoy the sunny beach. Since we went during winter, we couldn’t get ourselves wet by the cold water. Nonetheless, this is a great spot if you want to surf.

Mooloolaba
After enjoying the beach, we went to Mooloolaba for a quick lunch. In this part of Sunshine Coast, Queensland, you can find many stores and restaurants so you can even shop here. And since it was already lunch time, we looked for a place to eat and found a decent place to dine.

Betty’s Burger
My son is a fan of burgers, so when he saw Betty’s Burger, he couldn’t help but be excited about his lunch. We checked out the menu and found so many interesting things to try. But for my son, he prefers the cheeseburger because who doesn’t love cheese?

I ordered Betty’s Classic because according to the Betty’s Burger menu, its a bestseller, so why not try that one?

What’s fascinating about Betty’s Burgers is that you can even customize your burger buns of your choice. They have original milk buns, rustic white bun, and gluten-free bun. But you can even be on the healthy side and choose bare Betty – where your patties are wrapped in lettuce leaves, or in a pumpkin wrap.

Boost
My friend suggested we try this famous fruit shake – which I already learned about while watching other videos. And in here, you’re just like ordering from Jamba Juice, where you can get yummy fruit drink that’s guilt-free!
We tried Green Tea Mango Mantra and it had the mix of fresh mangoes and green tea powder – kinda like matcha mango fusion.
And yes, it’s sugar free so you won’t worry about sudden sugar spike, unless the mango is very very sweet! My tip? Order large and share with your loved one to lessen the sugar.
You can add coconut water, extra fruit and veggie, soy milk, and even oat milk, just add AUD 1.5 (PHP 67.34 or USD 1.07).
Glass House Mountains

It was about 4PM when we arrived at the Glass House Mountains. The sun hasn’t set yet and the place was just as stunning.
About 70 kilometers north of Brisbane, the Glass House Mountains showcase many different mountain peaks at the end of the plains. You can see the mountains on a clear day, and they are named one by one in this lookout.

Occasionally, you can see different wild animals in the area, and you can even hike in the area as well.
Wild Horse Mountain Lookout
We didn’t take long in the Glass House Mountains because our friend was aiming to bring us to Wild Horse Mountain Lookout to catch the sunset there.
And it was a 30-minute drive, and when we got there, the sun was still high up. But since we need to hike for about 10 to 15 minutes (that depends on how fast you can get up to the lookout), he didn’t want to waste any time.

He said the view is all worth it, so even though it was a bit tough to go up, we did anyway.
Lo and behold, my jaw literally dropped upon seeing the beauty of the whole scenery. The breathtaking view is simply something you wouldn’t want to trade for. Watching the green fields made me relax and while they’re very pretty, there’s a whole lot behind why they built this lookout at Sunshine Coast of Australia.

The main purpose of Wild Horse Mountain Lookout is to watch and protect what your eyes can see. Because from the viewpoint, you can immediately see if there’s a fire starting from the distant place.

Sunshine Coast itinerary reviews conclusion
Queensland tourist attractions don’t attract that much tourists maybe because they aren’t marketed well. While Sydney and Melbourne places are more famous, you’ll be surprised to find that there are great places in Queensland, one is Sunshine Coast, that are great places to visit.
We only had a week to spend in Queensland, so I’m sure there are more to visit there. Did I miss anything in Sunshine Coast? I’d love to hear your comments, so that we can visit it when we go back!

Don’t confuse Gold Coast with Sunshine Coast, because both have their own charm!
Undeniably, I always keep getting confused about these two! But after writing about Gold Coast (see here), I feel like a local here in Queensland! Make sure not to miss Gold Coast when you visit Queensland!
Brisbane City

If I didn’t know a friend in Brisbane, I wouldn’t have visited Brisbane City. So, now I’m utterly grateful to them! Because if not for them, I wouldn’t have been able to visit so many great places here!
And Brisbane City is one of those places that gives a homey vibe. The best part is that the place isn’t that crowded since not many know about it! See 7 exciting things we did in Brisbane City!
