Happilee Korean Kitchen — A friend sent me Korean dishes on my birthday a year ago, but even if late, I know Happilee Korean Kitchen deserves a proper review.
She knows me too well, so she sent all our favorites! And if you’re like me who loves watching kdramas, you’ll surely drool over the food you see in every episode.
We have tried the famous pork rib stew also at Zhu Ba Jie Restaurant — but beware!! The sauce is extremely spicy!! So if you love spicy things and watch kdramas, then you should try here!

Happilee Korean Kitchen restaurant menu
I’m not really familiar with the Happilee Korean Kitchen menu since we don’t order there. But upon checking, I found that the prices aren’t that intimidating, they’re actually quite cheap for the great taste!
So, without further ado, let’s get to the dishes we tried at Happilee Korean Kitchen restaurant!
Kimbap
A classic Korean dish that’s not only easy to eat, but also very handy if you’re a busy person is kimbap. If you love the Japanese maki, you’re going to enjoy munching on kimbap.Â
My friend sent me 2 types of kimbap: one with bulgogi stuffing with leeks, and another with crab stick, carrots, pickled radish, and egg.
The best part about these seaweed rolls?
Is that they give you everything in each bite. Very easy to eat on-the-go because you can just grab them and no cutlery needed.Â
Soy garlic chicken
I haven’t met any children who doesn’t love chicken! And if it’s Korean chicken, you can already imagine that sweet and savory taste of the sticky soy garlic glaze.
But what I love about Happilee Korean Kitchen’s soy garlic chicken is that it’s boneless, so you just munch and munch without worrying about suddenly biting a hard bone.
Japchae
Something I haven’t recreated yet is the sweet stringy japchae. For the longest time, I’ve been wanting to cook this Korean noodle at home, but I still haven’t because of how tedious the preparation is.
You have to prepare each ingredient one after another then mix them with the noodles. And this japchae that we had had the balance of sweet and mildly salty sauce — great to pair with grilled meat wrap!
Tteokbokki
You’re not Asian if you don’t love rice.
But me? I’m that asian who loves rice cakes — even baked!
And when I learned about tteokbokki, I knew it would become one of those that I’d be craving about every now and then — to the point that I even tried cooking it!
But if you want an easy way to have tteokbokki, you can always order from Happilee Korean Kitchen and have them delivered right to your doorstep. No more cooking the sauce and boiling the rice cakes, just cut open the plastic covering and you’re all set, ready to watch your favorite kdrama with a yummy snack in no time!Â
Kimchi
Of course, your Korean meal can’t be complete without the famous banchan called kimchi.
Here at Happilee Korean Kitchen, you can get single-serve kimchi at PHP 50, so you don’t have to worry about leftovers going bad.Â
But what’s so great about kimchi is that it has probiotics to maintain your gut’s health. Get this spicy and tangy side dish, and thank me later!Â

I’m not surprised that there are many Happilee Korean Kitchen branches across the metro. Apart from being convenient, the Korean restaurant serves yummy dishes. You can find it in Las Pinas, Muntinlupa, San Juan, Paranaque, Pasig, and Quezon City.

Did I mention I love Korean dishes? And because of that, I’d be willing to try different kinds. I’m also curious as to how their marinated crabs tastes like! But that’s a different story, so for now, let me just share with you some of the Korean restaurants we tried that offer great dishes too!

One of our go-to’s when craving authentic Korean samgyeupsal is Goryeo Korean Restaurant. I like that you can choose between unlimited grilled meat and a la carte dishes. But don’t underestimate Goryeo’s a la carte dishes!

Myeongdong Korean Gastropub
It’s a shame we only tried Myeongdong Korean Gastropub once. After doing so, they suddenly offered unlimited grilled meat, with lots of cooked dishes on the buffet table.Â
