Bom Gosto – While in search of a restaurant yesterday, we stumbled upon Bom Gosto. Our friend said she heard that Bom Gosto serves great food. And so we tried it, and guess what? She’s right!
If you’re here for the first time, I’d like to invite you to follow me on my socials – Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok so you’re updated on our recent food, hotel, and travel reviews!
Bom Gosto menu

Before dining at Bom Gosto at One Ayala, we checked out its menu, that’s displayed outside if there’s something for our son to eat. And while there weren’t many food photos on the displayed menu, we decided to give it a try – since it offers something different from the usual food we eat.

So, what’s so special about Bom Gosto?
Well, it’s simple.
You’re likely going around Europe – without booking airfare – and be able to taste the most famous dishes in the famous countries. Enjoy great dishes from Portugal, France, Italy, and Spain in a Makati restaurant. So, let’s dive in and you’ll see what we enjoyed during our visit.

Although we’re unsure whether Bom Gosto menu One Ayala is the same as the other branches, but they’re most likely be just the same.

Bom Gosto by Vikings
Being able to taste authentic European dishes before, we didn’t have a hard time choosing what to order from Bom Gosto menu price. The price might be a bit pricier than the other restaurants, but I assure you that what you’ll have is worth every penny.
Below are our chosen dishes, and I hope you’ll try them out too! I’ll update this post the next time we go back to any other Bom Gosto branches.
Chorizo croquetas

Potatoes are one of the best vegetables anyone couldn’t help but fall in love with. I mean, who doesn’t want mashed potatoes or french fries? Spanish people enjoy their potatoes mashed and then fried into balls called croquettes – or croquetas.
And yeah, we certainly love the Chorizo Croquetas. The slightly peppery taste is a great way to prep your palate into the main dish – no wonder they’re categorized in the starters group!
Paella Marisco

Of course, one of the dishes worth trying at an authentic Spanish restaurant is paella. We usually see the usual paella with yellow sauce, and then there’s negra (with black squid ink sauce).
This time we decided to try the classic one called Paela Marisco.
The server told us it’d take about 20 minutes for the paella to be ready, so we ordered it first, and then checked out all the other menu.
At first bite, I immediately fell in love with the taste. The paella sauce had the right balance of every ingredient added in it – not that strong, so you’ll surely have a hard time stopping once you start.
The seafood is cooked just right – sometimes, other paella chefs tend to overcook their meat. But the highlight of the Paella Marisco is the crispy slightly burnt rice at the bottom, called socarrat.
This one deserves 2 thumbs up!
Shrimp Alfredo Pasta

Apart from Paella Marisco, our next carb dish is the Shrimp Alfredo Pasta.
The usual alfredo pasta you’d see at any Italian restaurant is white in color, but Bom Gosto’s version is different. Slightly beige in color, the shrimp alfredo pasta sauce is one of our son’s favorite.
Creamy and savory – that’s how I would like to describe its taste. Topped with fried basil leaves and delicious shrimp, this one will surely make you beg for more! Our son ate almost half of the pasta!
Rib Eye (450 grams)

It’s steak time!
When I saw the ribeye in the Bom Gosto photo menu, my eyes were almost glued to the meat. So we ordered the 450 grams of ribeye, medium doneness. And do you know who ate the most in this dish?
Our son’s eyes lit up upon tasting a slice of the ribeye. He couldn’t stop eating until he was full. Need I say more?
Roasted porkchop

Okay, this one’s a no-brainer. We usually try porkchop at the restaurants whenever we see one. But sometimes, we get turned off at some restaurants because they couldn’t cook their porkchops perfectly.
But Bom Gosto was very careful not to overcook theirs. And with that Portuguese chimichurri sauce and a side of cheesy mash potatoes, I’m sure you’re already drooling right now!
Go ahead and add it to your order list!
Tiramisu

We decided to try out some of their desserts too. And when we saw Tiramisu, we all agreed to trying it out.
So, how do you know if you’ve ordered an authentic Tiramisu? If it contains ladyfingers soaked with espresso then topped with creamy mascarpone in each layer, then you got yourself a real one.
I believe they’re very clear in the photo.
Torrija de chocolate

Have you ever tried a Spanish dessert before?
The Torrija de Chocolate is a caramelized brioche soaked in milk and sugar, topped with chocolate ganache. On the side, there’s vanilla ice cream so you can enjoy it better.
It’s a great deviation from the usual dessert we have.
Bom Gosto branches
If you’re very far from One Ayala, there are 2 more Bom Gosto branches you can check out. One is in Newport Mall and the other one in The Podium. They’re located in places with great ambiance so you can have a relaxing time while enjoying good food.
Bom Gosto meaning
The name Bom Gosto came from the Portuguese term which means “great taste.” And the founder made sure to live up to its name by bringing great dishes to their customers.
Bom Gosto review conclusion
We didn’t know we’d find something great among the One Ayala Mall restaurants because we don’t frequent the place. Thankfully, our friend suggested we try it because of the Bom Gosto One Ayala reviews she had heard.
And since we had a great time inside, we didn’t realize we stayed there until the end of One Ayala mall hours. If you haven’t tried it yet, but is adventurous enough to try European cuisine, I suggest you give it a go, and you might just find it in your favorite Makati restaurants list!
