Anger Management

How do you deal with anger? What do you do whenever you feel like bursting? They say that you should not be angry because it damages your heart and shortens your life. However, there are a lot of things that we cannot control in life. Especially the people around us, how they think, act and speak. We cannot control the weather, sometimes it gets too cold for us to handle, other times (just like the present), it gets too hot – that it sometimes makes our bodies in heat and trigger our angry-cells that irritates us over the littlest of things. But it’s good that our bodies knows how to cope with heat – it allows us to sweat to release the heat that has built up, and while on the other hand, if it is too cold, our bodies shiver for it to shed some of our body fats to release some heat. Amazing how God had created our bodies right?

How about anger? What is the right way of dealing with it?

Psalm 37:8-9 wrote – “Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret—it leads only to evil. For those who are evil will be destroyed, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land.”

God does not want us to get angry to anyone – be it our friends, relatives and even our enemies! He said that we should love one another as He loves us too. He wants us to forgive all those who sinned us, and that we should pray for them too. I know it is impossible especially if you are angry and hurting inside. But nothing is impossible if you will remember how God has died because of our sins. Therefore if you love God, you will want to follow His words and be the person that He wants you to be. Why He allows you to suffer and feel pain? Because, He wants you to learn, and be the best person that you can be. So be glad if He makes you undergo these events in your life. Apparently, a much bigger prize awaits you at the end of the line once you have become an A list in His record. ☺️
