Today is the first day since forever that it rained this hard. Maybe the summer season is about to end. Since this morning, we experienced gloomy weather until the sun sets. Although we still perspired within the day, the weather is still better compared to the last few weeks that we had. We have been experiencing one of the hottest summers in the country, it even reached up to 50 degrees celsius (122 degrees fahrenheit) in some parts of the Philippines! That’s even hotter than what our body produces.
Some of us would probably be happy at the thought that finally, it rained, and that it should go on so that we are finally free from too much heat and sweaty underarms. But the cons of this is what if it rained the whole day and night? And knowing Philippines is the country that always gets flooded in times of nonstop downpour of rain. What will happen to our fellow countrymen who live in small towns and rural areas? They might experience flashfloods that might take away their lives. Is this one of the effects that is happening due to many of people has done a lot of bad deeds to others? Could it be God’s way of teaching us lessons that whoever does not follow His teachings and commandments shall be damaged by these floods?
Genesis 6:1–4 presents the Sons of God marrying the daughters of men and siring a race of giants, that became “mighty men which [were] of old, men of renown”. Genesis continues: “And GOD saw that the wickedness of man [was] great in the earth, and [that] every imagination of the thoughts of his heart [was] only evil continually.” (Genesis 6:5) God decided to destroy what he had made and start again with the righteous Noah. God chose the flood as the instrument for destruction which is portrayed as a veritable reversal of creation.[26]
According to our newcasters, the country will experience La Niña (heavy rainfall) after El Niño (excessively hot weather that came last March to May). I do not know if this is also happening in other countries, but could it be a sign? That soon, God will wipe out all the evil in this world, and start anew? No one can exactly tell, so I hope that this is a reminder to all of us that there is still a God in spite of all these evil things on Earth. All of the bombings and gun shots will soon be gone. And all who believes in Him (God) shall not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:15) 😊
