Quatro Formaggi

Cheesy quatro formaggi

What caught our eye on the Nonno Guido restaurant menu first was the Quatro Formaggi. Because we love pizza, we couldn’t not order it – and you can’t go wrong with a 4-cheese pizza.

After waiting for a short while, the pizza arrived first, and we were very excited to try it out without waiting for the other food. Since it’s chilly here and we wanted to enjoy the food hot and fresh from the oven, we immediately tried one slice after another.

And, yes, we weren’t disappoint with their cheese pizza. Sadly, I wasn’t ready for that cheese pull photo op, but I’m sure you’re already convinced upon seeing how generous the cheese was on the photo.

Italian Overload Cheeseburger

I don’t remember when my son started liking burgers, but Nonno Guido’s Ristorante photos that I saw online surely made us both drool. This is especially true with its Italian Overload Cheeseburger.

Just look at the cheese that’s oozing out of your big burger!

I’ll surely order it again the next time we go back!

Bulalo

Nothing beats a hot beef soup when you’re in a cold place. And if you like bulalo, Baguio City has a lot of restaurants with that on their menu. Surely Nonno Guido’s Ristorante won’t let you down if you’re craving for the warmth the beef broth brings while enjoying the forestry view.

Tocilog, Hungarian Sausage, and Italian Braised Beef maybe?

Upon arriving, we saw some dishes ordered by other guests, and they all looked delish as well!

On the upper left, you’re sure it’s a tocilog, and Hungarian sausage on the bottom. However, I couldn’t identify what the dish on the right was. I checked on the menu, and it looked like the Italian Braised Beef – since the meat surely is beef.

More Baguio City restaurants we tried

Spending a night or 2 (or even 3!) is one of the best things to do when you’re bored and hot and want to feel that cool breeze touching your skin. And yes, we love traveling to Baguio City to just chill and forget all about our worries!

Check this video for the place that we stayed at during our visit!

Of course, we couldn’t miss trying out great food there! Below are some of the best places we tried during our visit to the Summer Capital of the Philippines.

Cafe by the Ruins

After learning that a fire destroyed Cafe by the Ruins in April 2017, I was saddened because I haven’t tried it yet. Thankfully, it opened again a year after the heartbreaking event. And so, we visited it and tried some of their famous dishes.

Lemon and Olives Greek Taverna

You’ll never see us eating at a Mediterranean restaurant but I’m glad that we were with our friends, we tried another trending Baguio restaurant called Lemon and Olives Greek Taverna.

Aaaaaand, surprisingly, the food there was actually good. It was a variation from the usual cuisine that we eat, above all, the serving were all generous so we had a lot to take out that day. Better to reserve your seats so you don’t have to wait long.
