How do you handle a difficult person? This is one of the most difficult situations that we always have to go through. Because difficult people are those whom you have treated well yet their reply to you is always their meanest way. It can range from your best friend, sister, brother, parents, and most especially your lifetime partner. This is one of the hardest yet for me, it can also be considered as the easiest problem to deal with. You know why? Because whenever I come face to face with this kinds of people, all I have to do is pray. I seek God’s help. Because only He knows how to change the person and only He can turn the person Holy. I would pray to God, “God, please help this person understand what you want me to tell him, and please help change them to become a better person just like how you do it to me.” And then, everything would just fall into it’s proper places.
Surrender yourself to the Lord, and wait patiently for him. Psalm 37:7
God also said: “But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you (Matthew 5:44)”. He wants us to forgive those who have hurt us, and pray for them to find light. And instead of carrying the burden in our hearts, leave them to the Lord, and let Him be the one to handle them.
So when in doubt, pray and seek help from God. No matter where you are, how hard your current position is, how hectic your schedule is, always remember to pray and ask for His guide. Because in only His ways are the better path to take. 😉
